Ford India, the Indian arm of the American automobile manufacturer Ford has announced that the Figo hatchback has achieved the sales mark of 3,00,000 units, three years after its launch in 2010. Commenting on the milestone achievement by Ford Figo, Mr. Joginder Singh President and Managing Director Ford India stated that the Figo has helped position Ford as a significant player in the Indian automobile market.
The Figo hatchback is also being sold and exported to 37 overseas auto markets
The automaker is in the process of opening five new dealerships in the month of August 2013 in order to expand its sales and service network to 500 by the year 2015.
The newly launched SUV, the EcoSport has received 30,000 booking within 17 days of its introduction in the Indian market. The expansion of the dealership network is also expected to enable increase in sales and reach to the consumers.
