Audi India, the Indian subsidiary of the German luxury automobile manufacturer Audi has witnessed a growth of 19 percent in its sales for period January – July 2013. The carmaker sold a total of 5,551 units in the period in comparison to 4680 units sold in the same period in 2012.
Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India stated that the carmaker has followed a focused growth strategy enabling it to growth even amid sluggish market conditions and slow economic growth.
Mr. Perschke added that the company is in the process of consolidating its leadership in the luxury car segment in India with expansion of product offerings and enhanced dealership network. As part of enhancing the portfolio in India, the carmaker has announced the launch of the new Audi RS 5 Coupe and the Audi S6 with a sporty top version.
