Chevrolet Sail sedan launched by General Motors India on February 1, 2013 has posted 7,000 bookings since its launch date. The new sedan had been launched in the Indian car market with an entry level price of Rs 4,99,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Sail sedan competes directly with the likes of the Swift DZire sedan by Maruti Suzuki and the upcoming new Amaze sedan by Honda Cars India.
According to experts, the Honda Amaze which will be launched on April 11, 2013 will be a formidable competitor for the Chevrolet Sail sedan in the mid-size sedan segment and will be priced competitively for the Indian car market.
The Chevrolet Sail is priced in the range of Rs 4,99,000 – Rs 7,52,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) across a total of 8 variants.
