Italian luxury sports car maker Automobili Lamborghini SpA has launched its Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 in India at a price tag of Rs. 3.69 crore.
The Aventador which was first unveiled at the Geneva Motor show in March 2011 has so far bagged 1,500 bookings globally including 20 from Indian customers. According to Mr. James Page, Automobili Lamborghini SpA’s Marketing Manager for South-East Asia and Pacific, “India is an emerging market for sports cars, which is evident from the successful Formula 1 race event. We have already received 20 bookings for the Aventador.” The waiting period for the car in India is expected to be around 18 months stated Mr. Page.
The Aventador LP 700-4 boasts of one-of-its-kind technology, and is based on an innovate carbon-fiber made monocoque that brings together a distinct combination of lightweight engineering and advanced safety standards. The car is powered by a 6.5-litre engine and comes with a top speed of 350 km per hour. Exclusive Motors is the sole dealer of Lamborghini in India and will be selling the car in India. Owing to light weight engineering, the Aventador LP 700-4 is one of the lightest cars in its segment with a weight-to-power ratio of 2.25 kg per hp.
