Audi India plans to assemble 1,000 units of the Audi A4 and the Audi A6 in 2009. These cars will be produced at the company’s assembly unit in Aurangabad. Audi will also appoint 5 new dealers in tier II cities to expand its operations in the country.
Luxury car sales have gone down the world over because of the economic slowdown. Audi India, however, still managed to grow threefold in 2008, which has boosted the company’s confidence.
