    Audi India sales increase 47 percent in March 2012

    Audi India, the Indian subsidiary of the German luxury automobile manufacturer Audi has witnessed an increase of 47 percent in its sales in the month of March 2012. The luxury carmaker sold 1,002 units in March 2012 in comparison to the 681 cars in March 2011.

    For the period of January-March in 2012, the automaker sold 2,269 units in comparison to 1,611 units for the same period in 2011, an increment of 41 percent.

    According to Mr. Michael Perschke Audi India Head, the company is planning to expand its presence in the India and open shops in markets such as Coimbatore and Lucknow. Further, more dealerships will be opened up in Mumbai and Delhi in order to strengthen its presence. It also has the launch of Audi Q3 lined up for the year 2012.
