German luxury car manufacturer Audi has launched a new diesel variant of the ultra luxury car Audi A8 in the Indian car market, the 4.2L TDI Quattro with a price tag of Rs 1,00,75,000. The new car variant will be positioned between the 4.2L FSI petrol variant and the top-end 6.3l W12 Quattro variant. The company already offers the 3.0L TDI Quattro variant below the 4.2L FSI petrol variant.
The Audi 4.2L TDI Quattro is powered by a 4.2 liter V8 turbo diesel engine which offers 350 hp power and 800 Nm torque. The car is capable of going 0-100 kilometers per hour (kmph) in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph.
Equipped with the Audi Connect System which includes Google Earth, Google Local Search and Google Voice Local search, the car also offers information such as local weather forecasts, news headlines and travel information. The car also features a two-piece panoramic sunroof, a 4-zone auto AC and a Bang and Olufsen sound system.
