Audi India launched the latest version of its luxury SUV, the Audi Q7, in the country today. The new Q7 comes with three engine options – 3.0 TDI Quattro, 3.6 FSI Quattro and 4.2 FSI Quattro. It will be available at all Audi India dealerships from September 3, 2009. The Q7 was first introduced in India in the year 2006, and has been among the most sought after luxury SUVs since then. It new avatar comes with a single-frame radiator grill in high gloss black with vertical chrome bars, and new Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights. It also features an optional high-end headlight that integrates a low beam, high beam, and turning and cornering lights, and also a special superhighway beam. Other changes in styling include a redesigned tailgate, an aluminum exterior package and an optional S-line exterior package for sports-minded customers. The new Q7’s price range starts at Rs 53.4 lakh for the 3.0 TDI version, and Rs 55.2 lakh for the 3.6 FSI version (ex-showroom Mumbai). It comes in a variety of new colours like Ibis White, Teak Brown, Orca Black and Graphite Grey, as well as existing colours.
Audi India officials are upbeat following the company’s remarkable 69 per cent in August 2009, and the new launch will give a further push to its sales.
