Volvo India, the Indian arm of the Swedish luxury automobile manufacturer Volvo has announced the launch of an upgraded version of the S80 car model in India. The revamped car model has been introduced with a starting price of Rs 41,35,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new S80 car model includes new safety features such as pedestrian and cyclist detection with full auto brake. The diesel versions of the new sedan will be available in two variants for the Indian car buyers. While the base version is priced at Rs 41,35,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the top version has a price tag of Rs 44,80,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Apart from the launch of the new generation S80 sedan, the Swedish carmaker has also inaugurated its first exclusive lounge at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. The new Volvo lounge will cater to high profile customers who frequent the IGI Airport with the aim of expanding the presence of the brand in India through this strategic move.
