Skoda Auto India, the Indian subsidiary of the Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda has introduced a limited edition of the Skoda Rapid sedan, namely the Rapid Prestige at a price of Rs 9,00,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) has been launched with new additional features such as navigation, wind visors and parking sensors.
To make the new limited edition model distinct from the existing model, the automaker has placed special Prestige badging on the sides of the sedan. The new car model is equipped with a 1.6 TDI diesel engine paired with a manual transmission to offer a maximum power of 105PS at 4400rpm and a maximum torque of 250Nm at 1500–2500rpm.
The Czech carmaker aims to improve its sales numbers in the Indian market amid conditions of market stagnation in the automobile industry in India.
