Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer it set to launch a new premium version of the WagonR small car model in India, namely the WagonR Stingray. The new upcoming car model will enter the Indian car market around mid 2013 and will feature various improvements in comparison to the existing WagonR model in India.
With the launch of the WagonR Stingray which debuted in the Japanese auto market in 2012, the automaker expects to boost the sales of the WagonR car models in India. The WagonR range in India currently stands at the fourth position among the largest selling car brands in the Indian car market.
Among the upgrades and changes in the new WagonR Stingray, new headlamps and sportier chrome grill is expected to feature in the new premium car model. Interiors of the car may also witness rework with varied color contrasts.
The premium WagonR model will be equipped with a 1000cc three-cylinder KSeries petrol engine which also features in the existing WagonR models as well as the A-Star and the Alto K10 car models being sold by the carmaker in India.
