British car maker Jaguar Land Rover announced the local manufacturing of its most dynamic premium sedan the new 2017 Jaguar XF. This means the price has gone down. The XF diesel is now available from Rs. 47.50 lakhs and goes upto 60.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Previous it was available at priced at Rs. 49.50 lakh when launched in September 2016, so the base variant of the diesel is now Rs 2 lakh cheaper. The other hand XF petrol starts from Rs. 52.50 lakh (3-lakh cheaper from previous version) and goes up to 59.50 lakh.

The Jaguar XF is available in three variants – Pure, Prestige, and Portfolio, but Pure variants is available only with diesel engine. The petrol version is powered by 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine with a power output of 179.4 PS at 4,000 rpm and 4,30Nm of torque between 1,750-2,500rpm. While the petrol XF is powered by 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with 240.5 PS of power output at 5500 rpm and 340Nm of torque between 1,750-2,000 rpm. The all variants of both engines mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The new XF has new lightweight aluminium architecture contributes towards a weight saving of up to 190 kg over the previous XF. The new XF is 7mm shorter and 3mm lower as far as dimensions, but the wheelbase has increased by 51mm for Indian roads. It also comes with increased legroom by 15mm and the knee room by 24mm respectively. While the headroom space is goes up by 27mm at the rear side.
