Younger customers are infiltrating the ownership bracket of luxury cars in India. The customers are of an average age of 33-34 years. These youngsters are going for cars like BMWs, Mercedes-Benz, Audis and their likes. Wanting it all, these consumers are demanding and looking for latest models which offer latest gizmos, exclusivity in terms of looks, and high performance.
โThose going for high-end cars are those who are already driving the luxury cars and are upgrading to the next level,โ states K. Subramanian, CEO Audi, India. 45% of the annual sales of around 15,000 luxury cars sold in India come from cities other than metros. Some customers are very particular with getting things done their way in their cars, and are willing to wait for as long as 6-8 months for their custom-built cars.
