    Volkswagen India makes changes in top management

    Volkswagen India, the Indian subsidiary of the European automobile giant Volkswagen has made changes in the top level management replacing Mr. John Chacko with Managing Director Mr. Gerasimos Dorizas as the Chief Representative.

    According to a statement by the carmaker, Mr. Dorizas has taken up the position with effect from March 1, 2013. He’s been with Volkswagen Group Sales India at the position of Managing Director since 2012.

    Mr. John Chacko who had been heading Volkswagen’s India operations since 2010 has now been transferred to the luxury car brand Audi AG division of the Volkswagen Group where he’ll be assuming responsibilities with effect from April 1, 2013.

    The company also stated that Mr. Mahesh Kodumudi has been appointed as the President and Managing Director of Volkswagen India Private Limited with effect from March 1, 2013. Mr. Kodumudi has been with Volkswagen Group since 2008 and previously held the position of Executive Director Purchasing of Volkswagen India.
