Honda India, the wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda is planning to launch the new Amaze sedan in the Indian car market and has already opened advanced bookings for the new car model.
According to reports, the Amaze sedan is now available for advance booking with the advance payment of Rs 10,000 and various Honda dealers are now accepting bookings. While the exact date of launch for the Amaze or its specifications have not been revealed by the carmaker, it is expected that the car may hit the Indian roads by April 2013.
The new sedan will be Honda’s first diesel car model in India and the automaker expects to significantly boost its market share with this new product. Moreover, speculations by industry experts state that the Amaze will be the cheapest sedan offered by Honda in India.
The new sedan based on the Brio platform will sport the new iDTEC engine developed by Honda as part of its Earth Dreams Technology that focuses on driving performance along with fuel economy.
