Volvo India has launches the upgraded version of Volvo S80, luxury sedan in India at ex-showroom Delhi priced Rs. 41.35 lakh for the base D4 Summum variant and Rs. 44.80 lakh for D5 Summum variant.
The new Volvo S80 added exterior: new bumper, redesigned fog lamps and a grille, daytime running lights and dual exhaust tailpipes.
Inside new Volvo S80: new digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters to the D5 Summum variant and also the city safety technology that automatically brakes the car under 50kmph in emergency braking situations pretty much making it impossible to crash the car at slow speeds.
The Volvo S80 is available in two engines option:
- D4 Summum has a 2.0-litre 5-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 163 PS (120 kW) of power @ 3,500rpm and 400Nm of torque at 1,500 – 2,750rpm.
- D5 Summum has a 2.4-litre 5-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 215 PS of power @ 4000rpm and 440Nm of maximum torque @ 1,500 – 3,000rpm.
The both engines are mated to a 6-speed Automatic transmission and D4 Summum top speed is 215 kmph while D5 Summum top speed is 225 kmph.
