Toyota India showcased the Etios Motor Racing concept cars for the Etios Motor Racing Trophy which will be conducted in 2013. As part of the showcasing, the concept cars will tour 14 cities and 24 Toyota dealerships. The company expects to create an excitement among its customers in India through the tour which starts from Chandigarh on February 5, 2012. Moreover, it is a build up event for the main racing event to be held in the second half of 2013.
Using the Etios racing platform, the company plans to encourage young talent to take up motorsports as a carrier and train and develop their skills in order to enable them with the requisite competitive edge. Toyota also wishes to showcase to its customers the abilities and endurance levels of its Etios sedan.
The EMR Trophy series will have 5-6 race events during which the cars sport will be provided by the Toyota Racing Development.
