It looks like Tata Motors wants to leave no stone unturned in ensuring a smooth launch for the Tata Nano. Company officials have lately taken to driving fresh, new Nanos to religious shrines, apparently as a ‘spiritual journey’ and also to test the road worthiness of the car. The Nano has so far paid its obeisance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar and Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti’s Dargah in Ajmer. The model driven to Amritsar was reportedly assembled at Tata Motors’ Pantnagar plant in Uttarakhand and the one that went to Ajmer came from the Pimpri plant in Maharshtra.
