India’s one of the major Automobile maker Tata Motors is working on a new small car codenamed Kite, which will be manufactured of its Sanand plant in Gujarat and going to launch in late 2015. Once production starts will manufacture 150,000 units of Tata Kite per year. Company decided to regain its lost market share in the compact car segment.
Spoke person said that the company is looking at the vast potential as its current models like Indica cannot serve the small car market and Nano has not achieved the desired results. Kite would be placed in between the Nano and the Indica. Tata is also expected to launch its Zest sedan and Bolt hatchback in the Indian market soon.
The Tata Kite would be the rivel of Maruti Suzuki newly launched Celerio and upcoming new Ford Figo and Datsun Go.
