Skoda India, the Indian arm of the Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda Auto is planning to launch the Rapid Ultima variant of the sedan car model in the month of February 2014. The Rapid Ultima will feature Ultima badge along with the name Rapid. The new variant will also have Ultima decals on the sides, roof and bonnet.
The interiors of the Rapid Ultima have been given a two tone dashboard and a two toned leather seats along with a chequered theme for the plastic parts such as the console. The rear parking sensors will be provided as a standard feature.
The new car variant will be equipped with a 1.6 liter diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and is claimed to provide a fuel efficiency of 20.5 kilometers per liter. The variant will be positioned above the Elegance trim of the Skoda Rapid.
