Renault India plans to announce to the price range and specification of its new Pulse hatchback at the Auto Expo on January 6, 2012. The new hatchback based on the Nissan Micra V Platform will feature a 1.5-liter DCi diesel engine with 65 bhp peak power and 160 Nm torque. In addition, the company is expected to unveil the Duster compact SUV which will also be equipped with the 1.5-liter DCi diesel engine. The SUV will be offered with 4×4 as well as 4×2 wheel drive options.
The hatchback Pulse has been receiving bookings at the company dealerships well in advance even when the Demo car is expected to reach the showrooms only by the end of December 2011 or early January 2012. The price range for the hatchback is expected to be Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000 higher than the Nissan Micra.
