Renault India, the India subsidiary of the French automobile manufacturer Renault has posted a 10-fold increase in its sales for the month of April 2013. The carmaker sold a total of 6,314 units in April 2013 in comparison to 615 units sold in the same month in 2012.
The sales for the month were led by the Duster compact SUV which sold a total of 5,362 units followed by the Scala sedan with 545 units, the Pulse hatchback with 358 units, the Fluence premium sedan with 39 units and the Koleos SUV with sale of 10 units in the month.
According to Mr. Sumit Sawhney Executive Director (Marketing & Sales) Renault India, the carmaker has been recognized in the Indian car market for its product quality, reliability and efficiency. The carmaker has also bagged the Voice of Customer award for the Duster compact SUV.
