Renault India, the Indian subsidiary of the French automobile major Renault has announced its decision to export the recently launched the Duster sports utility vehicle (SUV) to the United Kingdom (UK). The SUV is manufactured by the automaker at its Oragadam production facility near Chennai which it shares with its strategic alliance partner Nissan.
Commenting on the upcoming export activities of the company, Mr. Marc Nassif MD Renault India stated that the first export shipment of the Duster will be sent to the UK. With the export of the SUV, Renault India will join the ranks of other SUV exporting automakers such as Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors.
Mr. Nassif stated that the company would fulfill all its global requirements for right-hand driven Duster SUVs from the Oragadam facility in India. Other markets planned for the Duster include the likes of Western Africa, South Africa, Singapore and Malaysia.
