Hyundai India has big plans to launch new cars and facelifts version of its existing models in India, new crossover based on Elite i20, compact SUV ix25 and facelift version of Verna and Elantra in 2015. The first model would be facelift Verna, because the company has already started booking at a token amount of Rs. 20,000/- and scheduled to go on sale in mid of February this year.
The New Hyundai Verna 2015 went on sale in the Russian market last year, renamed Hyundai Solaris.
The new Hyundai Verna will be equipped with new front face: new grille, newly styled headlamps with integrated projectors, new fog lamps with LED strips surrounding them and new bumper, restyled tail lamps with integrated LEDs. Additionally it will have a new alloy wheels, modified door handles. In terms of interior changes gets a get new touchscreen infotainment system, new upholstery for seats and extra airbags for more safety.
Mechanically car will be available in the same 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol engine while the same diesel 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre CRDi engines technology. The engines equipped with 6-speed manual transmission as standard and expected to add a 6-speed automatic transmission will replace the 4-speed automatic transmission. The car is expected to get modified suspension and new steering wheel for better ride.
