    The New Honda City 2017 has been launched in India at a starting priced Rs. 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new City is available in 5 grades of variants in both petrol and diesel engines options with manual and CVT transmission. The Petrol manual transmission will be available in S, SV, V & VX variants while petrol CVT (Automatic) transmission is available with V, VX and the ZX variants. The diesel manual will be available in SV, V, VX and top-end ZX variants.

    The diesel Honda City is powered by the 1.5L four-cylinder i-DTEC engine technology that generates 100 PS of power @ 3600 rpm with a max torque of 200 Nm @ 1750 rpm and claim to deliver the best combination of excellent fuel economy of 25.6 kmpl. It has been mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. It has an all-aluminum construction that runs on low friction technology to drive with perfect efficiency. It has a number of new sound and vibration absorption technologies applied to reduce the NVH levels & ensure a comfortable cabin for all passengers.

    The Petrol City is powered by 1.5L four-cylinder i-VTEC engine which produces 119 PS of power @ 6600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque @ 4600 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and Honda’s innovative and advanced CVT with 7-speed paddle shifters. The manual transmission can delivers an impressive fuel efficiency of 17.4 kmpl while the CVT will delivers a top-class fuel efficiency of 18 kmpl along with an effortless driving experience.

    New Honda City 2017 features details:

    The new Honda City 2017 comes with a new stylish and sporty exterior design, more safety features and an advanced high-technology infotainment system. The car is loaded with host of new features like completely new front-end with a new smarter grille, new headlamp cluster with LED lamps, LED daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, LED tail lamps and new front bumper. Additional features included a new 7-inch touchscreen audio-visual navigation system with an Android based, navigation system, electric sun-roof, rear view camera, new diamond-cut and two-tone alloy wheels in 15- and 16-inch sizes, LED license plate lamps and trunk lid spoiler with LED brake light. It also loaded with 1.5 GB of internal memory, 2 USB slots and 2 micro SD slots as well.

    In-terms of the safety features, it is equipped with a range of Honda’s active and passive safety technologies which are offered as standard equipment across all variants. Honda’s own ACE body structure, dual-front airbags, Anti-lock brake system (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), 3- Point ELR seat belts with pretensioners & load limiters, pedestrian injury mitigation technology, impact mitigating front head rest system, ISOFIX compatible rear seats and rear windshield defogger. The ZX variant is offering six airbags – dual-front, side curtain and both front side, as well as automatic headlights, headlamp auto-off timer and automatic rain-sensing wipers.

    The new Honda City is available in five colours – White Orchid Pearl, Carnelian Red Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic and a new Modern Steel Metallic colour.
