BMW Group has launched the Mini Cooper 3-door at Rs. 31.85 lakh and 5-door at priced Rs. 35.20 lakh variants in India. Both Mini models will be completely built units (CBU) made at the Mini plant in Oxford, England and will be imported to India. This vehicle is powered by 1.5-litre, three-cylinder diesel engine that produces 114 PS of power and 270Nm of torque.
In terms of dimensions, while the 3-door measures 3,821 mm in length, 1,414 mm in height, 1,727 mm in width and 2,495 mm in wheelbase; the 5-door Mini measures 3,982 mm in length, 1,727 mm in width, 1,425 mm in height and 2,567 mm in wheelbase.

Mini 3-Door
The Mini 3-door is available in Cooper D (diesel) and Cooper S (petrol) variants. The Cooper D is powered by 1.5-liter 3-cylinder diesel engine which produces 114 hp of power and 270 Nm of torque which claims to deliver fuel efficiency of 25.6 km/l. The car is mated to a 6-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and it is capable to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.2 seconds with a top-speed of 200 km/h.
While the Cooper S is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 192 hp of power and 280 Nm of torque, which claims to deliver 18.2 km/l of fuel efficiency. It is mated to similar 6-speed automatic transmission. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds with a top-speed of 233 km/h.
The 3 door Cooper has 278 litres of luggage space but rear seats folded it can take up to 731 liters of luggage
Mini 5-Door
For the first time Mini 5-door comes in India with single variant called Cooper D which is powered by the same 3 door diesel engine 1.5-liter 3-cylinder that produces 114 hp of power and 270 Nm of torque which can delivers an impressive fuel efficiency of 25.6 km/l. The car comes with 6-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The Mini 5-door hatchback can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.2 seconds with top speed 200 km/h.
