    Mercedes-Benz India unveils GLA Crossover at Delhi Auto Expo 2014

    Mercedes-Benz India, the Indian arm of the German luxury automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new GLA Crossover in India at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014. The new luxury car model is expected to be launched in India by the end of 2014 or by early 2015.

    The GLA Crossover will compete with the likes of the Q3 by Audi India and the X1 by BMW India. The new car model, a soft roader is based on the A-Class hatchback platform.

    The carmaker will be offering this car with both petrol as well as diesel engine options. While the diesel engine version of the GLA Crossover will be powered by the 2.2 liter engine mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic, the petrol version features a 1.6 liter petrol engine.

    The diesel engine featured in the GLA Crossover also powers the A-Class and the B-Class.
