Indian car market leader, Maruti Suzuki sold 61,247 units in June 2008 as compared to 59,917 during the same period last year. June 2008 sales include 4,836 units in exports.
Maruti sold 5,361 units for its entry level car-800 in June 2008. It aggregrated sales of 37,767 for its Alto, Wagon R, Zen Estilo and Swift, while the sedans DZire and SX4 totalled sales of 5,807 units registering a growth of 48%. The MUV Grand Vitara sold 512 units and Omni and Versa combined to sales of 6,964 units in June 2008
