The Alto 800, the entry level car model by Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer has sold more than 1,00,000 units in the Indian car market since its launch in October 2012. The car model has helped the company boost its overall sales numbers.
The small car model achieved the feat of 1,00,000 sales in the second week of March 2013, 144 days after its launch. The carmaker will also be launching the car in the Nepal auto market in the year 2013.
According to reports, the car model for the Nepal market will be 15 percent more efficient than the car model sold in India. Moreover, it would feature more spacious interiors with 15mm of extra legroom and head room.
