Mahindra Reva which is the only fully electric car manufacturer in India has been awarded ‘Platinum’ Rating by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). The rating has been awarded after a site review of the company’s facility in Bangalore and makes it the first automobile manufacturing plant in India to have received this certification.
Mr. Pawan Goenka President Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors Mahindra & Mahindra stated that the company is in the process of establishing new benchmarks in the Indian automobile industry with the help of cleaner and greener manufacturing facilities.
In order to receive this certification, a manufacturing facility needs to adhere to the standards and universal benchmarks established by IGBC.
