Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), the Indian utility vehicle manufacturer has launched its pick-up version of the Scorpio, the Scorpio Pik-Up or the Scorpio Getaway in Brazil. The utility car manufacturer is offering the Pik-Up in Brazil with diesel technology and 4WD capacities at a price of 89,900 Brazilian Reals (Rs.23,80,000).
The car model, already available in India is sold under the name of Scorpio Getaway and is powered by a 2.6 liter turbo diesel engine. The vehicle offers both options of 4×4 or 4×2 wheel drive which can be changed with the help of a switch placed on the dashboard of the utility vehicle.
The Pik-Up offers various comfort features such remote control locks, double din audio system along with USB and SD card options, power steering and air conditioning. The utility car also features electric door mirrors.
M&M is also looking at the feasibility of setting up a local assembly unit in Brazil to aid faster production and to cater to the demand for its car models in the country.
