Indian SUV car manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has entered an agreement with the cab rental firm, Carzonrent to offer users the self drive cab experience at a price of Rs 800 for 24 hours. The service is available in the cities of New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
The self drive service for the Mahindra e2o electric car will commence on October 1, 2013. The initial number in the e2o fleet at all three cities will be 5 cars which will be increased and expanded gradually.
Mr. Chetan Maini Pvt Ltd CEO Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles commented on the development stating that this association will enable ‘Mobility as a service’ and will allow customers to realize the benefits of the e2o electric vehicle. He added that the inclusion of the e2o car model is aimed to bring about an eco-friendly initiative and alternative in the Indian car market.
