Mahindra’s SUV, XUV 500 will be for now available in only five Indian cities- Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune, stated the company at the launch of its XUV500 in Pune recently. The company has pushed the pan-India launch of the SUV to a later date.
Dr. Pawan Goenka, President, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra, stated, “We will have to delay the launch in other markets in the country by not more than three months.” M&M had launched its SUV, XUV 500 on September 29th, 2011 and has been accepting bookings for the same since October 1, 2011. The Mahindra XUV 500 SUV is manufactured at M&M’s Oragadam plant in Chennai.
The company had launched the Mahindra XUV 500 through a live telecast and has received 5000+ bookings of it from the five cities.
