Isuzu Motors India has launched the Isuzu D-Max Single-Cab and D-Max Space Cab (Dual Cab) for the Indian buyers after the launch of its SUV model MU-7. The launch event held at Mumbai, where company opened its first official dealership in the country located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The Japanese manufacturer Isuzu Motors also announced to open its dealership in Delhi and Vishakapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) by the month end.
Isuzu D-Max technical specification in India:
The Isuzu D-Max Space Cab has a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder, turbo-charged diesel engine that generates 136PS of power @ 3,600rpm and 294 Nm of torque at 1,800-3,200rpm mated with 5-speed manual transmission. It has Ventilated Disc brake at front and Drum brake at rear, 76 liter fuel tank capacity, radial tubeless tyres, 195 mm ground clearance and maximum speed of 175 kmph, the pickups are rated for 1.2 ton payload.

The features highlights such as air-conditioner, power windows, tilt-adjustable power steering, stylish fabric seats, soft touch dashboard, cup holders, 12-Volt mobile charging point, tinted glass and dual-tone horn.

Company will assemble the D-Max Cab in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu with the help of Hindustan Motors facility obtained on contract. The Isuzu Motors will start its own manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, expected by 2016. This plant will also become an exported hub of Isuzu vehicle to the international markets.
