Hyundai India, the largest car exporter and the second largest car manufacturer in India is planning to launch up to four new car models in the Indian car market. The carmaker aims to increase its sales in the auto market with the launch of new car models.
The new models will also include a new compact sedan and a compact SUV. The compact sedan is being developed to compete with the Maruti Suzuki DZire and the Honda Amaze in the sub-four meter sedan segment.
The South Korean automaker is also studying the MPV segment in the Indian auto industry to develop new models. However, it currently plans to focus in the compact SUV segment as a priority. The carmaker already has plans to launch a new compact car in 2013 which will be positioned between the i10 hatchback and the i20 premium hatchback.
