Ford India, the Indian subsidiary of the American automobile manufacturer Ford is planning to target the women car buyers in India with a specially-crafted automatic petrol variant of the upcoming EcoSport compact SUV.
The new EcoSport compact SUV will be launched in four variants and will be available with both diesel and petrol fuel options. The carmaker will also introduce an automatic gear option for the compact SUV model to cater primarily to the women car buyers.
According to the carmaker, the automatic gear technology has been witnessing an increase in demand in the Indian car industry.
The new EcoSport includes features such as rear park assist and a complimentary emergency assistance service for new car buyers. Ford engineers state that the automatic gear system reduces the effort for the user by about 60 percent by enabling complete rest for the left leg while driving.
