The Datsun GO, the new and the first car model by the low cost car brand owned by the Japanese automaker Nissan is expected to hit the Indian roads by March 15, 2014. The price of the small car will be in the range of Rs 3,00,000 – Rs 4,00,000.
The bookings for the Datsun GO are being accepted by the Nissan dealers for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The new small car is equipped with a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine which offers 68bhp of power and 110Nm of torque. As claimed by the carmaker, the new Datsun GO is the most powerful car in the small car volume segment of India.
The new Datsun GO small car will be followed by more new car launches by Datsun such as that of a sub 4-metre MPV namely the GO+ which will compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV. RediGO, a concept for a premium small hatchback was also showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014.
