    BMW India to focus on new training center in India

    BMW India, the Indian subsidiary of the German luxury automobile manufacturer BMW has set up a new training center at Manesar near Gurgaon. The new facility has been established with an aim to prepare for its future product plans such as the M cars and the i8 electric sports car launch planned for the year 2014.

    The new facility will enable the luxury carmaker to train sales and service personnel for the brands under the BMW Group, namely BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorrad. The new facility has been set up on a 2.2 acre land with 60,000 square feet of built up area.

    According to Mr. Philipp von Sahr President BMW Group India, the new training facility will allow the carmaker to train employees in Sales, Service, Parts and Business Systems of the BMW Group as well as its retail network. The training center has a maximum capacity of 18,000 Training Man-Days (TMD) per year.

    Moreover, the new center will be available for training to Indians as well as overseas associates in the future.
