Audi India, the Indian arm of the German luxury automobile manufacturer Audi has unveiled four new sports car models for the Indian car market, namely the Audi R8 V10+, the Audi RS 5, the Audi S6 and the Audi TT which were showcased in Delhi on August 1, 2013.
According to Mr. Michael Perschke Head Audi India, the launch of the new car models in the Indian market establishes the performance leadership of the luxury automaker. Audi India currently leads the luxury car segment in terms of market share, ahead of BMW and Mercedes Benz.
Audi India has increased the prices across its portfolio in order to offset the depreciating Indian rupee and the resulting rise in input costs. The maximum hike is witnessed by the Audi R8 car model, the price of which has gone up by Rs 4,42,000.
