It seems that regular luxury sedans aren’t enough for some customers. The A8 L is one of the best full length luxury sedans with a super luxurious cabin, however for one Audi customer the size of the Audi A8 L just wasn’t enough. It has been confirmed that the German car maker has come out with a unique one-off A8 L model for a special unidentified customer.
The model is being called the A8 L extended, and measures 6.36 metres in length and has a wheelbase of 4.22 metres, which is about a metre longer than the standard A8 L. The car also has three rows of seats with six individual seats, and they all face forward. The car uses an aluminium spaceframe body to keep the weight low at 2,418kg.
The roof features a 2.4 metre glass panel to make the interior feel more spacious and the cabin is finished in Valcona leather. Powering this big Audi limousine is a 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine that can produce 310bhp and 440Nm of torque and it’s mated with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and has Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system. Audi claims that the car can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 7.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 250kmph.
This customer must be someone really loyal to the brand since the manufacturer has gone all out to make this special car for him or her. There is no word yet if Audi will continue to make such models for customers who find this interesting.
