Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), the Indian SUV manufacturer has launched the Verito Vibe compact sedan in the Indian car market at an entry level price of Rs 5,63,000. The carmaker has ventured for the first time into the small car space in the India market with the launch of the new car model.
The new Vibe compact sedan can be availed in three diesel variants powered by 1.5 liter diesel engines that feature in the exiting Verito sedan. The sub-4 meter length of the car will enable the automaker to enjoy excise duty benefits.
Entering the compact car segment in India, Mahindra & Mahindra will be competing with larger players such as Maruti Suzuki India, Hyundai India and since recently, Honda India as well. According to Mr. Pravin Shah Head Automotive Division Mahindra states that the Verito Vibe compact sedan enables the SUV maker to become a player in the highly competitive compact car segment.
