India’s Hindustan Motors and Japanese Mitsubishi Motors launched the SUV Mitsubishi Outlander in India. The Outlander is making a debut in India after receiving phenomenal success in North America, Japan, Australia, Canada and Western Europe, for its all-season and all-road capabilities due to its unique Electronically Controlled All-Wheel Control System.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. C.K. Birla, Chairman, Hindustan Motors Ltd. said, “We have launched the Outlander in India, in keeping with the policy of offering the latest from the Mitsubishi stable to the Indian consumers. This vehicle has all that needs to be a winner and will strengthen Mitsubishi brand as the leader amongst premium SUVs.”
Also present at the launch, Mr. Tetsuro Aikawa, Managing Director, Product Strategy and Development Group HQ, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Japan said: “The Mitsubishi Outlander is a proven and globally successful SUV. This vehicle has played a significant role in further enhancing Mitsubishi Motors’ credentials around the world. It is a great pleasure to present the Outlander in India.”

The Outlander’s All Wheel Control is powered by 2.4 litre, 16 valve MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing and Electronic Control system) Petrol engine and available at Rs. 20.20 Lacs (Ex showroom Price) across the country.
