Mercedes-Benz has been rigorously busting out new models over the last couple of months and they have been seriously taking the competition to Audi and BMW. But their latest launch has got our utmost attention, especially since the compact SUV market seems to be the most heated segment right now.
And with the new GLA 45 AMG the performance brand of Mercedes-Benz, known as AMG, is making a dynamic statement in the strongly growing segment of the compact SUV. With the combination of powerful-distinctive design, exclusive appointments as well as superior engine power and driving performance, this makes it a very unique vehicle. It sports the most powerful series-production four-cylinder engine in the world that puts 360bhp of power and 450Nm of torque on the road – and at the new GLA 45 AMG high-performance SUV also shines with regard to emissions and fuel consumption figures.
The Car accelerates from 0-100kmph in just 4.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 240kmph – that is electronically limited. Thanks to the combination of standard-fit performance-oriented AMG 4MATIC all-wheel-drive and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission, the GLA 45 AMG seems perfect with its equally sporty and efficient drive system concept.
Mercedes is hoping the car will appeal to the younger buyers across Europe, and they might have plans for a global launch as well. It very well does seem to be the perfect package for someone who wishes to take on different terrains.
