Maruti Suzuki India has officially launched its most awaited premium hatchback Maruti Baleno in India with both petrol and diesel engine option, in the price range of Rs. 4.99 lakhs to Rs. 8.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This newly hatchback is available with four stylish variant options – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha variants. The all four variants are available with both petrol and diesel engines, but an-addition CVT Automatic variant will be available only in petrol engine.

The hatchback Maruti Baleno petrol version is powered by a 1.2-liter VVT, K-Series engine that generates 84.3 PS of power at 6000rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The all four variants of this engine are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and an-addition a CVT (Automatic) transmission option is also available with second Delta variant. The company claim to deliver a certified mileage of 21.4 km/l for both the MT and CVT transmission variants.
While the diesel Baleno is available in 1.3-liter DDiS technology which can produce 75 PS of power at 4000rpm and 190Nm of torque at 2000rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only and it claims to deliver 27.39 km/l of mileage.
The hatchback Maruti Baleno is measure 3995mm in length, 1745mm in width, 1500mm in height, 2520 of wheelbase and 170mm of ground clearance with 339-litre of boot space.
