Land Rover today announced the introduction of the 2017 Model Year New Range Rover Evoque with prices starting from Rs 49.1 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With the introduction of the Ingenium Diesel engine, the 2017 Model Year New Range Rover Evoque becomes the first Land Rover in India to get this much awaited power-train. Ingenium is Jaguar Land Rover’s new breed of engine and has been designed for effortless performance, refinement and efficiency. Available in the 2.0 l (132 kW) Ingenium diesel engine, it comes with 4 Wheel Drive and 9-speed Automatic Transmission. With advanced technology and all-aluminium construction, this engine delivers impressive fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Being, 20kg lighter than equivalent previous generation engines, Ingenium is intrinsically more efficient and intelligent thanks to its computer controlled adaptive engine cooling, which only engages as required.
The latest generation variable geometry turbocharger maximises peak power for low-speed torque and responsiveness that is uniform, progressive and avoids lag. While there are many variants to choose from for the Evoque, an exclusive special Edition Range Rover Evoque has also been introduced as a part of updates made to the world’s most desirable SUV. Known as the ‘Ember’ edition, this striking red and black luxury SUV has a host of design enhancements to showcase Evoque’s distinctive silhouette. The ‘Ember’ special Edition builds on the attributes of the Range Rover Evoque HSE Dynamic with striking exterior details including a Firenze Red roof to contrast the Santorini Black body colour. The Ember theme continues inside with Ebony black seats with a contrasting Pimento red stitch among the many stand-out design features.
