Another year has gone by and it sure was full of some glorious car launches. We witnessed the craziness that the Delhi Auto Expo has to offer and we also saw some fantastic cars coming to the Indian market. Not only new cars but we now have new segments in the car industry, which all-in-all made for a very exciting year.
Well, now since the year is about to end we need to find out which of the new launches this year deserves to be the crowned the ‘WordPress Car of the Year’. This was very tough because there were some phenomenal cars that were launched this year as well as refreshed models of already existing cars. But we finalized a list and we came up with the final nominees for the award. These included the legendary Maruti Alto 800, Mahindra Quanto, Renault Scala, Renault Duster, Maruti Ertiga, Tata Safari Storme, and the Hyundai Elantra.
Undoubtedly, this is a fine list of cars but there can only be one winner. We rated the cars and after heated debate it came down to the Hyundai Elantra, Maruti Ertiga and the Renaut Duster. This was not an easy choice but it was a very calculated decision based on many different factors.
For the year 2012 the WordPress Car of the Year award went to the Renault Duster. The Duster is a fine vehicle that probably has the best driving dynamics for Indian conditions and it gives you the best value for money, and this is what went in its favour. Congratulations to Renault India for bringing such a great product to Indian consumers.
