Volkswagen might introduce the Volkswagen face lifted Touareg SUV in India soon. The SUV will be sold in India as completely built unit and its teasers have started doing rounds hand-in-hand with the promotions of the movie Ra One, in which the SUV has been spotted.
Available with a single engine variant that features 3 litre common rail turbo diesel TDI engine, the SUV will churn out 240-bhp of peak power and 550 Nm of peak torque and the engine will be mated to an 8 speed tiptronic automatic transmission, instead of an existing six speed one.
The SUV is expected to come with features like 4Motion intelligent four wheel drive technology, Electronic differential locks and Hill descent system with a special off road mode button. Various weight saving measures have resulted in the SUV weighing 200 kgs less. The face lifted Volkswagen Touareg is expected to cost around Rs. 55,00,000.
