Toyota India which launched its first hatchback Etios Liva in the small car segment in India on June 27th, 2011, has bagged over 1,000 bookings for the car within just three days of its launch.
The car is priced around Rs. 399,000 and is economical on fuel consumption. The company plans to export this car to countries around the world and in particular to Russia and South America. Toyota with its launch of Etios Liva is hoping to give a tough competition to the existing players like Hyundai i10, Maruti Swift, Ford Figo, Hyundai i20, Maruti A Star and also yet to be launched cars like Honda Brio and Maruti Cervo.
