The Suzuki Motorcycle India has officially launched the Suzuki Gixxer 154.9cc bike in India at Rs. 72,199 at ex-showroom Delhi which was revealed earlier this year. The Gixxer is powered by 155 cc single-cylinder air-cooled carbureted engine producing 14.8PS of power @ 8,000rpm and 14Nm of torque @ 6,000rpm which is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine is equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology, which reduces mechanical losses and maximises combustion, give a better fuel economy of 63.2kmpl. Fuel tank capacity is 12 litres and the bike tips the scales at 135kg.
The highlights of the bike its muscular chiselled fuel tank, bikini fairing twin exhausts in a single end can, body colored grab rails and thick tyres, all-digital instrument panel with a gear indicator and customisable rev limiter. The telescopic forks at front and monoshock at rear suspension, the front wheel 100/80-17 tubeless rubber by a single disc while 150/60R-17 tyre gets a drum brake at rear.
The Suzuki Gixxer is available in following options of colors – Metallic Oort Grey, Candy Antares Red, Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue and Pearl Mirage White.
The Suzuki Gixxer 155cc bike will compete against Honda 160 cc bike and Yamaha FZ.
