Skoda India will be launching a small sized SUV, the Yeti, in the first half of 2010. The new car will be suitable for both city driving and long-distance traveling. Skoda is planning to fit the Yeti in the segment between the Fabia and the Octavia and hopes to attract those who always wanted an SUV-styled vehicle but could either not afford one or baulked at the sheer size of the available options in the segment. Expected to be priced at Rs, 10 lakh, the Skoda Yeti will hopefully make an appearance at the Auto Expo in 2010. It will be put together as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) Unit at Skoda’s Aurangabad facility.
